2IS Special R&D focus

Defining clear objectives and requirements is foundational to a successful R&D process, and three key components 2IS to focus on are: 1. Stakeholder Alignment: Involve all relevant stakeholders—customers, product managers, engineers, and regulatory bodies—to ensure alignment on the project’s purpose, functionality, and success criteria. This helps avoid conflicting goals and keeps everyone on the same page regarding deliverables and expected outcomes. 2. SMART Criteria: Objectives should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). This approach provides clarity and allows the team to break down large objectives into actionable steps. 3. Technical and Functional Specifications: Clearly document technical and functional requirements, including performance metrics, material constraints, environmental conditions, and regulatory standards. Defining these specifications in measurable terms helps guide design choices and testing, ensuring the final product meets both technical and practical needs.
